From Legend to Cult and from Cult to Myth: Two Virgins, Two Periods

The webinar “From Legend to Cult and from Cult to Myth: Two Virgins, Two Periods” from the Cycle of Meetings “Guadalupe Destino” is part of the events of exceptional public interest in Guadalupe: the “25th Anniversary of the Declaration of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO” and the “Holy Year of Guadalupe 2021”.

It is organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, in collaboration with the City Council of Guadalupe.

The event will count with the participation of the Guardian and Custodian of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe, Fray Guillermo Cerrato Chamizo, the Professor of American History at the Complutense University of Madrid, Rosa Martínez de Codes and the Professor of Hispanic Studies at the University of Paris 8, Françoise Crémoux.

Yuste Foundation wishes to organise this cycle of meetings in order to hold a series of sessions of public interest, promoting dialogue on issues such as governance, science, history and culture.
