5th INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS RELATIONS BETWEEN LATIN AMERICA, THE CARIBBEAN AND EUROPE. ECONOMY AND INTERNATIONAL CONFLICTS
Guadalupe (Cáceres), 10 April 2024.
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the University of Extremadura (UEx) and the Research Centre for Ibero-American Studies of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CEIB-URJC) convene the 5TH INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS RELATIONS BETWEEN LATIN AMERICA, THE CARIBBEAN AND EUROPE. ECONOMY AND INTERNATIONAL CONFLICTS, which will take place in Guadalupe (Cáceres) on 10 April 2024.
The objectives of this Congress are the following:
- To continue delving into the interaction that has been taking place between America and Europe over five centuries.
- To prioritise the research that studies this relation, which has been shaping a historical reality in both spaces, one that is confirmed in a cultural and material heritage that is common in many cases. And to focus this time on aspects relating to the economic situation and international conflicts and the perception of the two regions.
- To continue making progress in studies on migratory flows between America, Extremadura and Europe.
- To increase the debate between the two regions by highlighting, above all, the participation of young researchers in the fields of International Relations and the History of Ibero-America as a space of significant relations between the two regions.
