The Board of Trustees for the Yuste Foundation Approves its Action Plan for 2019

The Board of Trustees for the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation held a meeting last Wednesday in Mérida chaired by the President of the Government of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara, and approved the action plan for 2019. This is a diverse programme that brings together around 100 activities that will contribute to keep going more deeply into the study and analysis of the European reality, in addition to driving and consolidating the links between Extremadura, Europe and Ibero-America.

AN INTERNATIONAL CONGRESS WILL DELVE INTO THE POLYHEDRAL FIGURE OF HERNÁN CORTÉS

Medellín and Trujillo will become focal points in order to study the polyhedral figure of Hernán Cortés. Academicians and experts from both sides of the Atlantic will meet at the international congress “Hernán Cortés in the 21st century. 5th centenary of Cortés’ arrival in Mexico (1519-2019)”, organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Extremaduran Historical Federation.

YUSTE CAMPUS CLOSES ITS SUMMER COURSES ANALYSING THE POSSIBLE SOLUTIONS TO THE EUROPEAN CHALLENGES

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Jean Monnet Module on European Integration of the University of Extremadura have organised the course “Achievements and Limitations of 60 Years of European Integration”, inaugurated today at the Royal Monastery of Yuste, which is the Foundation’s head office. This course closes the Yuste Campus programme’s summer courses.
