Yuste Foundation Organises an International Congress to Analyse the Role of Latin America and Europe in a World at War

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the University of Extremadura (UEx), and the Ibero-American Research Centre of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CEIB-URJC) have organised the 9th International Congress on Relations between Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, which this year is entitled “The Role of Latin America and Europe in a World at War”. The session will take place on 25 March in the Sala Capitular of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe.

An international congress on cultural routes and itineraries brings together a hundred participants from Europe and Latin America in Cáceres

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the Organization of Ibero-American States for Education, Science, and Culture (OEI), the Ministry of Culture and Heritage of Ecuador, the Metropolitan Institute of Heritage of Quito, the Secretariat of Culture of Quito, the Autonomous University of Zacatecas in Mexico, and the European Institute of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe (EICR), within the framework of the ADELANTE 2 Programme for Triangular Cooperation between the European Union, Latin America, and the Caribbean, have organised the “International Congress on Cultural Routes and Itineraries for the Development of Territories”, which will be held from May 28th to 30th at the San Francisco cultural complex in Cáceres and in the region of La Vera, located in northern Cáceres.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation organised the session “A Glance Towards Europe: Business Issues and Challenges” in collaboration with the Rotary Club of Yuste and the Cáceres Business Circle in the framework of Europe Day, which was celebrated last 9th of May. The session was directed by Mari Cruz Sánchez Escobedo, a professor from the University of Extremadura.

Cuban Researcher Alain J. Santos Fuentes Wins Yuste Foundation’s 2024 Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses

The doctoral thesis La Constitución de Cádiz y la modernidad política en Cuba: actores, prácticas y conceptos (1810-1823), by Cuban Alain J. Santos Fuentes, was awarded the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation’s 2024 Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses. The award ceremony took place within the framework of the 5th International Congress “Relations Between Europe, Latin America, and the Caribbean: Economy and International Conflicts”, which was held on April 10th at the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe.

The jury of the 17th edition of the Carlos V European Award, granted by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, decided to award the prize to Mario Draghi “because his leadership at the helm of the European Central Bank implementing decisive and risky measures managed, in the midst of the recession in the European economy, to maintain the strength of the euro and the autonomy of the ECB, as well as to save the single currency allowing Europe to emerge strengthened from the aforementioned crisis”.
