YUSTE FOUNDATION AND THE GENERAL COUNCIL OF THE JUDICIARY SIGN A COLLABORATION AGREEMENT FOR THE TRAINING OF JUDGES AND MAGISTRATES

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the General Council of the Judiciary (CGPJ) signed an agreement aimed at articulating a framework of collaboration between the two institutions for the implementation of training activities. (07/10/2022)

The agreement, signed by the president of the Supreme Court and the General Council of the Judiciary, Carlos Lesmes, and by the director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno, was presented this Friday by the president of the Superior Court of Justice of Extremadura (TSJEx), María Félix Tena Aragón, and by the head of Yuste Foundation.

Juan Carlos Moreno has indicated that with this agreement Extremadura will be a preferred place for the training of judges and magistrates. He also wanted to highlight the role that Yuste Foundation plays in bringing together professionals related to law in Extremadura in order to address the study of current problems from different approaches.

Along the same lines, the president of TSJEx defended the “intercommunication and interrelationship, hence both training and work have to be cross-cutting”.

Tena Aragón pointed out that this agreement takes a further step towards the objective of “integrating judges and magistrates in the different social spheres” and all this through training, “not only the one we receive but the one we can offer”.

This signed agreement, which has a duration of two years and is renewable for a period of up to four additional years, establishes the lines of collaboration between the two institutions for the implementation of training activities in Extremadura aimed at members of the Judicial Career and participants in the Foundation’s activities, with the aim of promoting mutual knowledge of the respective realities of each institution.
