The first circumnavigation of the world was an epic adventure full of complications. This is the story told in first person by one of its protagonists: Hernando de Bustamante, who worked as a barber-surgeon on the mission. His voice will guide us on a journey marked by horror and courage, despair and wonder. A journey of some ships and men who wanting to reach the Isle of Spices went around the world proving its roundness.
The author Roberto Massó (Cáceres, 1987) works with narrative and drawing. His latest publications are Cadencia (Fosfatina) and El ruido secreto (Spiderland/snake). He has made several exhibitions nationwide. He received a grant in 2017 for the programme, “Creación Joven”, of the Youth Institute (Injuve) and another one from the Regional Government of Extremadura in 2018 addressed to visual artists.
