The director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Fernando Pizarro, and the president of the High Court of Justice of Extremadura, María Félix Tena, held a meeting to update the agreement between the two institutions and conduct an overall assessment of the Agricultural and Livestock Law Course, which Yuste Foundation has organised for the past four years under the agreement signed with the General Council of the Judiciary. During the meeting, Fernando Pizarro spoke highly of both the quality of the speakers and the content covered throughout the different editions. In his view, this has helped the course become “one of the most sought-after and highly regarded courses among members of the judiciary”, he affirmed. In this regard, the Foundation’s director recalled that the most recent edition, held last March, brought together “nearly seventy judges and magistrates, legal professionals, notaries and registrars, demonstrating the excellence of the course”, he stressed.

For her part, the president of the High Court of Justice of Extremadura explained that the course aims to advance the study of a sector that has received limited attention from the perspective of legal scholarship. She also spoke highly of the Ibero-American, European and regional focus of the presentations, which has helped foster the “institutional commitment” needed to ensure that the course continues in the coming years. She announced that, following previous editions held at the Parador de Jarandilla de la Vera and the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe, the 2027 edition will move to Yuste Foundation’s Aula Magna, located at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste.

The meeting also provided an opportunity to discuss the content of the new edition, scheduled for March 2027.
