Yuste Foundation Collaborates on a Project Offering Young People from Extremadura the Opportunity to Work in Multilateral Organisations

Yuste Foundation is taking part in the eighth edition of the programme “Young People from Extremadura in Multilateral Organisations”, which aims to create an active and sustainable network of young people engaged in foreign affairs, consolidate Extremadura as a region committed to international cooperation and public diplomacy, and make effective use of young talent as a driver of development and international projection for the region. (13/01/2026)

This initiative, managed by the Youth and Sports Foundation (Fundación Jóvenes y Deporte) and funded by the Extremaduran Agency for International Development Cooperation (AEXCID), will implement a specialised 50-hour training programme in international cooperation, followed by six one-year paid practical placements in United Nations agencies. In this manner, young people from Extremadura will have the opportunity to become outstanding ambassadors for the region and demonstrate their capacity to innovate and lead in complex global environments. In this project, Yuste Foundation contributes its experience and expertise in the international sphere to strengthen its global dimension.

Since its launch, the programme has trained more than 100 young people from Extremadura in international cooperation, development, and multilateralism, with 42 paid placements in United Nations agencies. 90% of participants have improved their employment prospects, continuing their careers in multilateral organisations or related entities, bringing back knowledge and networks that strengthen the region.

Young people from Extremadura interested in taking part in this international initiative must have been born in or reside in Extremadura; be between 24 and 35 years old; hold a university degree or equivalent; have experience and training in international cooperation, development, solidarity, or social justice; and possess a B2 level of English.
