It also expressed its appreciation of the work they are doing to promote cooperation in research and development; the enhancement of European memory, history and heritage; cultural and educational exchanges for young Europeans; contemporary cultural and artistic practice and cultural tourism. It also highlighted the image and position of Europe that is projected by the Cultural Routes abroad and its relations with the rest of the world.

Each grant has an individual endowment of 2,500 euros in order to cover the study and research for the preparation of the papers that shall be submitted within the framework of the Carlos V European Award Doctoral Seminar of Multidisciplinary Studies on Contemporary Europe, which will take place at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste; the preparation of the research work carried out within the framework of the call, which will be published in a joint work by Yuste Foundation, and the mobility of researchers to carry out their research work.
