Yuste Foundation, together with the Ministry of Defence, have organised the “3rd Sessions on Security and Defence in the Ibero-American Space”, which will be held in the afternoons of 30 September and 1 October in the assembly hall of the Defence Subdelegation in Cáceres.

Germana de Foix, queen consort of Aragón and viceroy of Valencia, will be the central figure in the musical repertoire performed by the ensemble Piacere Dei Traversi as part of the Emperor’s Concert series, taking place on Saturday, 27 September, at 1 pm, at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste.

The musical ensemble Carmina Terrarum will perform next Saturday, 20 September, at 1 p.m. at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste, as part of the Emperor’s Concert Series organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation together with Patrimonio Nacional.

The Patio of the Royal Miners’ Hospital of San Rafael at the Minas de Almadén–Parque Minero will host a concert by the ensemble Camara Antiqva on 6 September at 8 p.m., which will perform the programme “Concierto de Extremadura al Nuevo Mundo”. This is a unique opportunity to enjoy the music of the time of emperor Charles V in a historic setting certified with the European Heritage Label.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has opened the application period for ten European Research and Mobility Grants for European Studies, entitled the “Carlos V European Award – European Disability Forum”, each with an individual award of 2,500 euros.

Over three hundred students from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the United States and Uruguay, have taken part in the courses of the Campus Yuste training programme, which has been held throughout July at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste. The courses are organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation as part of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer/Autumn Courses.

The director general for External Action of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Pablo Hurtado, inaugurated today the course “Health, Illness and Nutrition During the Reign of Charles V”, which will run until 25 July at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste. This event concludes the Campus Yuste training programme, part of the 26th edition of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer/Autumn Courses.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation is bringing this year’s Campus Yuste summer courses to a close with the course “Health, Illness and Nutrition During the Reign of Charles V”, which will take place at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste from 23 to 25 July, as part of the 26th edition of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer/Autumn Courses.

The director-general for External Action of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Pablo Hurtado, has emphasised Extremadura’s role as a link between Europe and the Americas, highlighting the work carried out by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation through the Campus Yuste courses, “because this too is foreign policy, international action and public diplomacy”.

International relations theorists, historians, political scientists, politicians and academics are taking part in the third Campus Yuste summer course, entitled “The New World Order and the Atlantic Axis”, which was inaugurated today at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste as part of the Campus Yuste training programme, within the framework of the 26th edition of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer/Autumn Courses.
