Campus Yuste tackles the eradication and prevention of endemic diseases
José Ángel Calle Suárez, Director of AEXCID – Extremadura’s International Development Cooperation Agency, opened the course ‘Europe facing global challenges, from cooperation to development. The eradication and prevention of endemic diseases: malaria’ which is part of the Campus Yuste academic project from the European Academy of Yuste Foundation.
Campus Yuste programme launches with a course on the Treaties of Rome and Maastricht and ongoing advances in the process of European integration
The European Academy of Yuste Foundation launched its Campus Yuste training programme today with the opening event on ‘From the Treaty of Rome to the Maastricht Treaty. Ongoing advances in the process of European integration’ which is on until Friday at the Royal Monastery of Yuste.

This morning, Rosa Balas, Director General for External Action and President of the Executive Commission of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, presented the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation in Mérida, which results from the merger of the European Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Extremadura Centre for Studies and Cooperation with Ibero-America (CEXECI). In this presentation, she was accompanied by Juan Carlos Moreno, Director of the new foundation, and César Chaparro, Academic Director of the foundation.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation organises the “50 of One Hundred. 50 years in the company of One Hundred Years of Solitude” seminar, which aims at taking a journey through the life trajectory of Gabriel García Márquez, one of the literary exponents of Ibero-American literature, and his universal work “One Hundred Years of Solitude”, half a century after its first publication.
Conferences on mass media, mainstreaming gender equality, and integration in the face of migration and economic crisis
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Extremadura Agency for International Development Cooperation (AEXCID) have organised three conferences during the month of November: ‘Democratic governance and mass media’, ‘The gender equality approach’ and ‘Responses of integration in the face of migration and economic crisis’ that will take place on the 14th at the Assembly of Extremadura, on the 23rd at the Casa de la Mujer in Cáceres and on the 30th at the Hernán Cortés Residence Hall in Badajoz, respectively.
Mural exhibition concludes ‘European Union: a story of human values and rights’ project, which reached nearly 400 pupils in Navalmoral
The Concha Foundation in Navalmoral de la Mata will host an exhibition of work by 5th and 6th year primary schoolchildren from all the schools in Navalmoral de la Mata on 8 November. The exhibition will include information on the European construction and integration process, European values and key information on the 28 countries that make up the EU.
