Campus Yuste Analyses Transatlantic Relations and the Challenges of the New World Order Following Trump’s Victory
International relations theorists, historians, political scientists, politicians and academics are taking part in the third Campus Yuste summer course, entitled “The New World Order and the Atlantic Axis”, which was inaugurated today at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste as part of the Campus Yuste training programme, within the framework of the 26th edition of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer/Autumn Courses.

The call for proposals to be eligible for ten “Carlos V European Award” European Research and Mobility Grants for European Studies is now open
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation offers ten “Carlos V European Award European Research and Mobility Grants for European Studies” in order to carry out research work on “The European project’s modernisation and governance in a plural framework with shared values and goals”. The grants deal with European history, memory and integration, where the framework and priority is the profile of the awarded person, institution, project or initiative in each edition with the Carlos V European Award. Those eligible for one of the grants may propose innovative research lines referring to the main subject of the call, bearing in mind the specific and cross-sectional priorities of the call.
YUSTE CAMPUS ANALYSES THE CONFLICTS ORIGINATED AT BOTH SIDES OF THE ATLANTIC IN TIMES OF CHARLES V
To analyse the binomial war-peace at both sides of the Atlantic during the reign of Charles V; this is the reason why international academicians and experts meet from today until 6 July, in Yuste, in order to carry out the course “Charles V: War and Peace on Both Sides of the Atlantic”. Organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Cooperation Network of European Routes of Emperor Charles V of the Council of Europe in collaboration with the Regional Government of Extremadura, this course will also attempt to study the perception that the actors of those conflicts had and the consequences they caused in the politics of the time.

The Director of the Extremaduran Agency for International Development Cooperation (AEXCID), Ángel Calle, stated today that the 2030 Agenda is “the agenda of current opportunities because we have to keep sharing; future ones, because we need a sustainable development model; and those of the future generation and global opportunities”.
Europe and Latin America committed to multilateralism in Yuste
The Royal Monastery of Yuste hosts the international seminar “Latin American and the European Union Relations: a Renewed Political Alliance?”, where the economic growth that different regions are experiencing and how this fact presents challenges from the economic and geopolitical point of view will be analysed from transdisciplinary approaches. It is in this framework that they are analysing how the relations between the European Union and Latin America are and how they may evolve.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Ibero-American General Secretariat (SEGIB) have organised the international seminar “Latin American and the European Union Relations: a Renewed Political Alliance?”), which will be held the 25th and the 26th of June at the Royal Monastery of Yuste Foundation, which is the Foundation’s headquarters. The course is sponsored by the European Union – Latin America and Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation).
Yuste Foundation receives 450 applications to attend the international summer courses it organises, scheduled in Yuste Campus
Youths from different Spanish, Portuguese, Italian, French, American and Dutch universities have participated in the call for grants offered in order to attend the six summer courses organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation within its training programme Yuste Campus. These courses are included within the framework of the 19th International Summer Courses organised by the University of Extremadura.
The Training Academy closes defending the role of culture as a potential to achieve the growth of tourism in Europe
The 7th Training Academy of European Cultural Routes of the European Council closed today having gathered approximately 70 people from 16 countries that represent 20 certified routes -as European Cultural Routes- as well as 20 candidate routes and other organisations, such as the Organization of Ibero-American States (OIS) together during three days at the Royal Monastery of Yuste, making up a total of 16 European and Ibero-American countries.

European cultural identity and the defence of its rights become the main characters in the opening session of the 7th Training Academy
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation hosted the opening session of the 7th Training Academy of European Cultural Routes of the European Council this morning, where the need to persevere in the fight for European rights and their cultural identity has been stressed. The European Institute of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe is a key cornerstone in this sense. These are some of the participant’s conclusions in the opening session. These sessions have been organised by the European Institute of Cultural Routes of the Council of Europe, the Network of the European Routes of Emperor Charles V and Yuste Foundation.
