YUSTE FOUNDATION AND THE INTERNATIONAL EU-LAC FOUNDATION SIGN A COOPERATION AGREEMENT TO DEVELOP ACTIVITIES THAT LINK THE COUNTRIES OF THE EUROPEAN UNION, LATIN AMERICA AND THE CARIBBEAN
Yuste Foundation and the International EU-LAC Foundation sign a cooperation agreement to develop activities that link the countries of the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean (21/01/2021)
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the International European Union-Latin America and the Caribbean Foundation (EU-LAC Foundation) have signed a cooperation agreement today for the development of joint activities that promote the strengthening of relations between the EU, Latin America and the Caribbean.
The signing of this agreement by the director of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno, in Extremadura, and the executive director of the EU-LAC Foundation, Adrián Bonilla, at the Foundation’s headquarters in Hamburg, has been carried out virtually due to the impossibility of doing so in person due to the health crisis caused by COVID-19.
This agreement is the result of the recognition, by both Foundations, of the value of the relations between the European Union, Latin America and the Caribbean and the importance of interaction, collaboration and cooperation to implement a wide range of activities that help to better fulfil the objectives of both institutions.
This agreement will be implemented with the organisation of courses, conferences, seminars, workshops and joint publications, amongst other activities.
The first activity to be jointly organised will be the summer course ‘EU-Latin America Relations. Responses to uncertainty and the 2030 agenda’, which will be held with physical attendance at the Royal Monastery of Yuste – if sanitary conditions allow it- and virtually in July 2021. It will count with the collaboration of the University of Extremadura, the Ibero-American General Secretariat and Euroamérica Foundation.
