Yuste Foundation Organises an International Congress to Analyse the Role of Latin America and Europe in a World at War

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the University of Extremadura (UEx), and the Ibero-American Research Centre of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CEIB-URJC) have organised the 9th International Congress on Relations between Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, which this year is entitled “The Role of Latin America and Europe in a World at War”. The session will take place on 25 March in the Sala Capitular of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe.

The members of the General Council of the Judiciary, Pilar Sepúlveda García de la Torre and Juan Martínez Moya, respectively, the president of the Superior Court of Justice of Extremadura, María Félix Tena Aragón, and the secretary of Equality and Conciliation of the Regional Government of Extremadura, María del Ara Sánchez Vera, opened the 2nd Ibero-American and European Agricultural and Livestock Law Course” today, which was organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the General Council of the Judiciary under the agreement signed between both institutions.

The regional minister of Presidency, Interior and Social Dialogue, Abel Bautista, presented the call of the Carlos V European Award’s 17th edition along with the director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno, this Monday in Mérida. The award aims to reward individuals, organisations, projects or initiatives that have contributed to the general knowledge and enhancement of the cultural, social, scientific and historical values of Europe or to the process of construction and integration of the European Union.

Yuste Foundation Regrets the Death of Jacques Delors, Laureate of the Carlos V European Award

The Board of Trustees and the staff of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation regret the death of Jacques Delors, former President of the European Commission and the first person to receive the Carlos V European Award. Delors received the award on 6 June 1995, during a solemn ceremony that was presided over by King Juan Carlos I. The jury of the award, which was chaired by Marcelino Orejawho would also receive the award in 2017, recognised Jacques Delors “taking into account his open and tolerant spirit and his support of a European model of society based on the defence of democratic values and human rights”.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, along with the University of Extremadura and the Research Centre for Ibero-American Studies of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CEIB-URJC) opened the deadline for the submission of papers for the 5TH International Congress on Relations between Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe, to be held on 10 April at the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe under the title “Economy and International Conflicts”.

YUSTE FOUNDATION’S BOARD OF TRUSTEES APPROVES THE ACTION PLAN FOR 2024 UNDER THE PRESIDENCY OF MARIA GUARDIOLA

The president of the Regional Government of Extremadura, María Guardiola, presided over the meeting held by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation’s Board of Trustees today, where the Action Plan for 2024 was approved. The latter is a programme of activities that intends to further delve into the analysis and knowledge of the European reality, as well as to promote and consolidate the links between Extremadura, Europe and Ibero-America.
