Yuste Foundation and the Spanish Economic and Social Council Agree to Organise Activities to Strengthen Dialogue between Europe and Ibero-America
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Spanish Economic and Social Council (CES) signed a framework cooperation agreement today in Madrid aimed at promoting joint activities in the academic, scientific, cultural and research fields.

Youth and Europe under review at Campus Yuste
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Research Forum on Social and Legal Sciences of the University of Extremadura are organising the course “Youth and Europe: The Past, Present and Future of Building a Peaceful Continent”, which will be held from 13 to 15 July. Its aim is to examine youth throughout the process of European construction.
Yuste Foundation delves into the study of the humanities during the 16th century
The course “The Worlds of Charles V. Humanism, Education and Transmission of Knowledge in Europe and America” opened today at the Monastery of Yuste with the aim of delving into the education of the Christian prince and into the different pedagogical manifestations within the so-called pedagogical humanism that will take place both in the peninsula and in America and which will have to do with the transmission of technical and scientific knowledge in Europe, America and the peninsula.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Council of Badajoz are organising the course “Elio Antonio de Nebrija: From Extremadura to America”, which will be held from 27 to 29 July in Guadalupe, The course is part of the training programme Campus Yuste and joins the commemorative activities that have been celebrated on the occasion of the 5th centenary of the death of Elio Antonio de Nebrija and are sponsored by the provincial institution.

The course “Iberian Dialogues. José Saramago: A minute, a Century”, which has been organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Office for Cross-Border Initiatives, opened today with a speech given by the Director General of External Action of the Regional Government of Extremadura and President of the Executive Committee of Yuste Foundation, Rosa Balas.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Office for Cross-Border Initiatives are organising the course “Iberian Dialogues. José Saramago: A minute, a Century”, which will take place from 27 to 29 June, and is included within the framework of the Campus Yuste educational programme. The work of this Portuguese Nobel Prize award-winner and member of the Academy of Yuste will be analysed in the course at a time when the centenary of his birth is being commemorated.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has organised the course “The Spanish exile in Chile”, making the Santa Ana University Centre of Almendralejo a focal point for the study and analysis of the Spanish exile in Chile. A place where academics and experts from different Spanish universities will meet. The opening of this event was attended by the director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno; the director of the Santa Ana University Centre of Almendralejo, Carmen Fernández-Daza, and the course director, Modesto Miguel Rangel Mayoral.
YOUNG PEOPLE INTERESTED IN CINEMA CAN REGISTER TO BE PART OF THE YOUNG JURY OF THE 28TH IBERIAN FILM FESTIVAL UNTIL 4 JULY
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Iberian Film Festival of Badajoz invite young people aged 18 to 30, who are residents of Extremadura, to join the Young Jury of the 28th Iberian Film Festival, which will be held from 19 to 23 July 2022 in Badajoz, Olivenza and San Vicente de Alcántara. This jury will award the “Luis Alcoriza” Prize to the best short film, in their view, in the official section.
Yuste Foundation receives close to 650 applications for the courses included in Campus Yuste
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has received close to 650 applications for the eight courses offered within its Campus Yuste programme. Of the training offer, six are part of the 23rd edition of the University of Extremadura’s international summer-autumn courses and two will be held through the Latin American Virtual Campus, Aula-Cavila. The educational sessions will be held from June to September at the Monastery of Yuste (Cáceres) and in Guadalupe and can be followed online.
