The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has just published the doctoral thesis “Cirurgiões, práticas e saberes cirúrgicos na América portuguesa no século XVIII”, by Brazilian Monique Palma. This is the winning thesis of the Research Prize to Ibero-American Doctoral Theses convened by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation whose prize was awarded in the framework of the I International Congress “Relations between Europe, Latin America and the Caribbean: A Meeting Space”, which was held between 18 and 20 March 2021 at the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe.

This publication compiles all the articles in Spanish and English published in the monthly 2020 digital newsletter that Yuste Foundation distributes every month digitally and free of charge to its subscribers, who currently number more than six hundred.

The President of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Guillermo Fernández Vara, presided over the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation’s online meeting of the Board of Trustees, which has approved its Action Plan for 2022, a wide-ranging and diverse programme of activities that will contribute to further deepening the study and analysis of the European reality, as well as to promoting and consolidating the links between Extremadura, Europe and Ibero-America.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, the University of Extremadura (UEx) and the Study Centre on Ibero-America of the Rey Juan Carlos University (CEIB-URJC) organise the Second International Congress “Relations Between Latin America, the Caribbean and Europe: A Meeting Space” to be held in Guadalupe (Cáceres) on 23, 24 and 25 March 2022.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation organises the conference “The Importance of the Spanish Constitution in its 43rd Anniversary, with Special Reference to the Work of the Constitutional Court” on Friday, 10 December, at 19:00, at San José School in Villafranca de los Barros, which will be given by the President Emeritus of the Constitutional Court, Juan José González Rivas.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation inaugurated the Carlos V European Award-Antonio Tajani doctoral seminar entitled “The European Union and the Principle of Solidarity” today. This event brings ten researchers from different nationalities, who have been awarded a Research and Mobility Grant on European Studies, together. This academic forum is held from today until Friday at the Parador Hotel in Jarandilla

The European Documentation Centre in Extremadura, which is part of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, is organising the webinar “How to travel sustainably? Get on the train”, along with the University of Extremadura and the European Commission. This activity will be held tomorrow, 18 November, from 17:30 to 19:00 pm via Zoom.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Ministry of Defence have signed an agreement aimed at constructing the framework of collaboration between the two institutions in order to carry out research, cooperation and activities of any other area of mutual interest through the conclusion of subsequent specific agreements.
