Yuste Foundation Collaborates on a Project Offering Young People from Extremadura the Opportunity to Work in Multilateral Organisations
The Board of Trustees and the staff of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation mourn the passing of the Portuguese historian Manuela Mendonça, a member of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste, who took up the Joan of Arc Chair during the ceremony for the awarding of the Carlos V European Award to the French politician Simone Veil in 2008 at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste.

Yuste Foundation calls for equality, accessibility and social inclusion as a lever for change
The director of the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation, Juan Carlos Moreno Piñero, claimed the need to achieve “greater equality and accessibility, and a more inclusive world; a task that falls especially to young people born in the first quarter of the 21st century”. He stated this at the opening of the course “Universal Accessibility, Social inclusion and Leverage for Change towards Equality”, which will be held at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste until Friday and which counts with the collaboration of the University of Extremadura and the General Directorate of Accessibility and centres of the Regional Government of Extremadura.
Yuste Foundation organises a legal conference to study the coordination of the social security systems of the European Union and Ibero-America
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation together with the Asocición de Mujeres Laboralistas de Andalucía and the Research Network of the Ministry of Science and Innovation “La protección social y la coordinación de sistemas de Seguridad Social en la Unión Europea e Iberoamérica: los desafíos del Brexit y el Pilar Europeo de los Derechos Sociales”, have organised the conference entitled “Guadalupe Legal Sessions: Coordination of Social Security Systems. A Legal Bridge between the European Union and Ibero-America”, which will be held on 19 and 20 September at the Royal Monastery of Santa Maria de Guadalupe.
Yuste Foundation organises two Renaissance music concerts within the Emperor’s Cycle of Concerts
The music group Camara Antiqva and the Coro de Cámara de Madrid as well as the group La Danserye will be performing in the church of the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste on 17 and 24 September, respectively. These concerts are included within the Emperor’s Cycle of Concerts, which is organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation together with National Heritage. Both concerts will start at 13:00 pm and have free admission until full capacity is reached.
Almost 500 students from 25 countries have participated in Campus Yuste’s summer courses
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation joined the commemoration of the centenary of the birth of the Portuguese Nobel Prize and member of the Academy of Yuste, José Saramago; the fifth centenary of the death of the Spanish humanist, Elio Antonio de Nebrija, and the celebration of the European Year of Youth with the organisation of three courses included in the training programme Campus Yuste, which are integrated in the 33rd edition of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer-Autumn Courses.
