Over Three Hundred Students from 16 Countries Have Taken Part in the Campus Yuste Courses
Over three hundred students from Argentina, Belgium, Brazil, Colombia, Cuba, the Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Mexico, Nicaragua, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, the United States and Uruguay, have taken part in the courses of the Campus Yuste training programme, which has been held throughout July at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste. The courses are organised by the European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation as part of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer/Autumn Courses.

Campus Yuste Analyses the Beginnings of Modern Diplomacy at the Time of Charles V
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation has inaugurated the course “Diplomacy in the Worlds of Charles V: Negotiation and Dialogue’”, which will be held virtually from 5 to 9 July, within the programming of Campus Yuste’s international summer/autumn courses.
The course “Iberian and Transatlantic Cultural Dialogues: The Spirit of Avant-Gardes, a Century Later” analyses the imprint of the avant-garde spirit a hundred years later
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation opened the course “Iberian and Transatlantic Cultural Dialogues: The Spirit of Avant-Gardes, a Century Later” today, where the mark left by the avant-garde spirit throughout the 20th and early 21st centuries will be analysed and reviewed. The course runs until next Friday, 2 July, from 17:00 to 19.30 pm.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation presents the book Hernán Cortés en el siglo XXI. V centenario de la llegada de Cortés a México tomorrow in Medellin. It gathers all the conferences and presentations that took place in the Extremaduran localities of Medellín and Trujillo in April 2019 at the international congress that bears the same name.
Yuste Foundation and the Iberian Film Festival Invite Young Residents in Extremadura to Join the Young Jury
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation and the Iberian Film Festival of Badajoz invite young residents of Extremadura, aged between 18 and 30, to be part of the Young Jury, that will be in charge of awarding the Luis Alcoriza Award of the Iberian Film Festival, which celebrates its 27th edition in Badajoz, Olivenza and San Vicente de Alcántara from 20 to 24 July.
Yuste Foundation Offers 800 Grants for the International Summer-Autumn Courses Included in the 2021 Campus Yuste
The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation opens the application period to apply for 800 grants to finance tuition fees, as well as – in the case of the face-to-face modality – the accommodation and maintenance for the international courses of the Campus Yuste programme, which will be held between June and October 2021 and are included in the XXII edition of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer-Autumn Courses.
Yuste Foundation Highlights the Importance of Young People in Europe’s Future
Sara Durán Vázquez, Director-General of the Youth Institute of Extremadura, defended the role of young people in building the future of Europe because European youth “wants to have the leading role in such an important process, we want our future to lie in our hands, not in the hands of others”. This was expressed during the opening of the webinar “Youth and the Future of Europe”, organised by Yuste Foundation as part of the cycle of meetings “Guadalupe Destino”.
Yuste Foundation celebrates Europe Day with the video “Celebrating Europe”
Yuste Foundation launches the campaign “Committed to Europe” for the second consecutive year with a video entitled “Celebrating Europe”, which aims to reflect civil society’s commitment to the European project during the different stages of life. Thus, the assemblage of the video gathers images including a few months old baby, children in school, adolescents, young people, families and the elderly because we are born as Europeans and live according to values and ideas which we are committed to throughout our life.
Felipe González, Javier Solana and Marcelino Oreja Analyse the Future of Europe in a Webinar Organised by Yuste Foundation
The three Spanish winners of the Carlos V European Award granted by Yuste Foundation, Felipe González, Javier Solana and Marcelino Oreja, participated in the webinar “Quo Vadis, Europa? in the Post-Covid Era” in order to analyse the current situation which Europe finds itself in and to reflect on the challenges it faces, especially bearing in mind that the Conference on the Future of Europe will be launched on 9 May, coinciding with Europe Day.
The Role of Youth in the Future of Europe under Discussion in a New Meeting Organised by Yuste Foundation
Yuste Foundation is organising the webinar “Youth and the Future of Europe” which will take place on 13 May at 5.30 p.m., with the aim of discussing key issues to define how to improve European youth policy and encourage active participation of young people in the process of European construction. The meeting is part of Yuste Foundation’s Cycle of Meetings called “Guadalupe as a Destiny”, which is organised on the occasion of the Holy Year of Guadalupe 2021, and is also held around the commemoration of Europe Day. It also aims to contribute to the Conference on the Future of Europe.
