The Regional Government of Extremadura Sees Campus Yuste as a Place for Deep Reflection on Global Affairs

The director general for External Action of the Regional Government of Extremadura, Pablo Hurtado, inaugurated today the course “Health, Illness and Nutrition During the Reign of Charles V”, which will run until 25 July at the Monastery of San Jerónimo de Yuste. This event concludes the Campus Yuste training programme, part of the 26th edition of the University of Extremadura’s International Summer/Autumn Courses.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation is organising the webinar “Sustainable and Social Tourism for Rural Development: Natural and Cultural Spaces” in collaboration with the City Council of Guadalupe. It will be held on 25 February from 17:30 to 19:00 pm. This activity is part of the Cycle of Meetings “Guadalupe as a Destiny”, which commemorates the Holy Year of Guadalupe, an event declared of exceptional public interest in January this year

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation organises the webinar “From Legend to Cult and from Cult to Myth: Two Virgins, Two Periods” on Thursday, 26 November, at 17:30 pm, in which the Professor of American History at the Complutense University of Madrid, Rosa Martínez de Codes; the Professor of Hispanic Studies at the University of Paris 8, Françoise Crémoux, and the guardian and custodian of the Royal Monastery of Santa María de Guadalupe, Fray Guillermo Cerrato Chamizo, will participate.

The European and Ibero-American Academy of Yuste Foundation will be organising the webinar “La botica de Guadalupe y las plantas del Nuevo Mundo” (“The Chemists’ in Guadalupe and Plants from the New World”) on Thursday 12 November at 17:30 hours, and it will be led by the President of the Official College of Pharmacists of the Province of Badajoz, Cecilio Venegas Fito.
